Pharmaceutical chemistry are disciplines of chemistry, especially synthetic organic chemistry where they are involved with design, chemical synthesis and development for bio-active molecules. Organic synthesis is a special branch of chemical synthesis dealing with the synthesis of organic compounds. Practicals conducted in the lab enable students to perform Qualitative analysis. Analytical chemistry studies involve the use of instruments and methods for separation, identification, and quantification of matter. In practice, It may constitute the entire analysis or be combined with another method. Qualitative analysis identifies analytes, while quantitative analysis determines the numerical amount or concentration. Biochemistry is a sub-discipline of both biology and chemistry. Lab consist of sophisticated analytical instruments such as pH meter, Flurometer, colorimeter, UV, HPLC, IR etc.
Pharmacology deals with the study of nature, effects and uses of drugs. It includes pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and toxicological studies. Department of Pharmacology consist of well equipped Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology Lab, Pharmacology Lab and Animal House Facility.
